You can get there by either overnight train or car from Hanoi.

Long day trek (about 20 km) from Tam Duong,New Phong Tho to old Phong Tho town. Visit several different minority villages along the spectacular mountain path. Picnic lunch. Transfer back to Tam Duong by car

A walk to Catcat village to visit the H'mong, the hydroelectric power station built by French people and silver waterfall. Walk back to Sapa and free to explore the town
