RoK's Kangwon boosts tourism co-operation with HCM City

Representatives from the Republic of Korea (RoK)'s Kangwon province and travel agencies in Ho Chi Minh City on February 15 signed memoranda of understanding (MoUs) on boosting co-operation in tourism.
The Vietnamese signatories to the MoUs included Saigontourist, TST Travel, Viettours, Ben Thanh Tourist, Vietravel and TransViet.
The same day, Kangwon province - the RoK's second largest province and most popular tourist site - also hosted a seminar to introduce the locality's tourism potentials.
Ho Chi Minh City considers the RoK its major tourism market. The city welcomed 175,000 RoK visitors in 2007, representing an increase of 20% from the same period last year.
